We were so pleased
with the results of the "A" litter, that we repeated the
breeding in 2002. However, we later discovered
that there were multiple health defects within that
litter. This is something we take very seriously.
As per our contract, we refund the testing and hip
evaluation fees, and also refunded several owners for
their purchase due to these defects. The buyers
retained their beloved pets and continue to love and
care for them. We are grateful for that their care
and concern.
This litter was
born in the beginning of winter, and did not have the
benefit of being outdoors much. Was there
something environmental that affected them because of
that? We do not know. We believe that there may be
a connection between over-vaccination due to research in
other areas. Sometimes odd genetic twists
of fate occur. Not all the puppies were affected,
and there are some excellent dogs among this litter.
We also bred Aryan to a different sire for the "C"
litter and have not had any problems reported.
