WHAT WE DO

FoxTal Training Center is located on almost 40 acres in Black Creek, Wisconsin.  We are within half an hour of airports in Green Bay and Appleton.  The word "tal" means "valley" in German, and in choosing that name to represent us we have reflected our location in the Fox River Valley as well as our goal of combining the German heritage with good, old-fashioned American ingenuity.

Our emphasis is on motivational training.   We have trained and titled dogs in schutzhund, AKC hunt tests, NAVHDA, UKC obedience and conformation,  and for law enforcement service.  As a former police K9 handler, instructor and judge I have trained dogs for law enforcement agencies, procured detection dog prospects and testified as an expert witness.  We are fortunate to have found a location where we can expand our services and offer them to you. 

We are both law enforcement officers who do this because we enjoy training dogs, and the camaraderie that it brings.  We have also found that a solid foundation and good training practices apply whether you are competing in schutzhund or trialing a gun-dog. The concepts are the same. 

We offer exceptional litters of Small Munsterlanders and Dutch Shepherds.  We are very pleased to announce the addition of Donar von der Wolfscheibm and expect several litters of Small Munsterlanders this spring.  We offer private training, behavior consultations and are currently scheduling group classes.   In 2007 FoxTal will offer a series of Problem-Solving Seminars for Law Enforcement and certification courses in Narcotics and Explosives Detection, as well as providing maintenance training.
